Rugged, rocky landscapes, green alpine pastures, bizarre, jagged crags, towers and mighty cliff faces, glacial ice, limestone peaks, isolated high plateaus, virgin forests and scenic mountaintops, mysterious karst springs and reflecting tarns – these images characterize our King Dachstein Trail on and around the Dachstein. Since it is a high alpine trail, appropriate trail running equipment, condition, endurance and sure-footedness are required.

The fascination of the Dachstein becomes tangible. The entire King Dachstein Trail follows existing paths and climbs. We tackle our circumnavigation of the Dachstein in a clockwise direction, as we use stage one as kind of a warmup, before the trail is getting more and more alpine.
